^Lot 211 Walther ac42 P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Walther ac42 P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #4364g, 9mm cal., 5" barrel, blued finish, grooved black plastic grips, dovetailed blade front sight, and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one blued steel magazine, marked "P.38v/U". Magazine follower is early flat type. Left side of the slide is marked "P.38/ac42" and the right side is stamped with two "(eagle)359" Waffenamts and Nazi eagle firing proof. There are additional "(eagle)359" proofs on left side of the frame and barrel. Locking block is marked "(eagle)359", firing proof, and "W". Matching numbers. No visible import marks. Condition overall is very good, retaining approx. 80% factory blue, with wear primarily to the edges and front grip strap. There are a few shallow impressions visible on the trigger guard. Grips are very good and display moderate signs of age and wear, with intermittent light scratches to the right grip. Action and hammer drop operate smoothly. Bore is primarily bright, there is a little frosting forward of the chamber, and rifling is good. Magazine shows moderate finish wear with a few spots of cleaned pitting on the sides.
